TRESemmé – Russia Launch project
How to turn the initial rejection from the brand to a global launch success
"I haven't seen this much of consideration for the brand for many years" - Jasmine H, Global Brand Manager
This wasn’t the feedback I expected when I had entered the meeting room to do the presentation in front of the Global Brand Manager, Jasmine.
Why? Because my initial Key Visual design was rejected by her email, about a month ago. This was my first project to take on after I joined the U-Studio and I followed the brief given by the project manager words by words. It turned out there was a huge gap between brand expectation and the interpretation of the scope of the work. The result was bad, really bad.
So, the team had to do something right. We booked another meeting with her face to face. I worked with the strategist to analyse the brief, to do the customer research, and we did the proper project planning and clarified the objectives and created the visuals based on the strategy.
The result was a huge success. We gained trust back from her, and eventually the original scope of work extended to other works, like national TV adverts and digital promotion.
This is how the project was explored.
